The Ultimate Workaround
I just logged into my gmail account after a long time and saw the new Delete button. Got me thinking. Do you think the whole 2GB storage thing might have been because they couldn't figure out how to do the Delete functionality?

Yup. Outrageous indeed. To think 2GB of space per user was given out just because of some lazy programmers. Now THAT's a company I'd love working for ;)

at first even even i couldn't find the delete button...i thought it'll be stupid to ask someone
Looks like there's more than one person who thinks gmail messed up on the usability front. Wouldn't be the first time. Us software engineers have been known to forget about users while getting the functionality in.
